‘Untitled’ (2015) was an installation that evolved from my investigation of the circadian rhythm of Australian lungfishes born without visible eyes over a period of 72 hours in complete darkness, and my own experience observing their behaviour in real time. It was presented in two parts: 1) upon a wall as a triptych of video footage of three blind Australian lungfishes over 72 hours and, 2) throughout the gallery as marks made in ultra-violet paint upon the floor that invited the audience to follow in my tracks.
One Australian lungfish was present on the opening night of the exhibition; it would have been able to see my performance unaided by the ultra-violet torches.
